Tour Description:
Castell in Llano County is located on the Edwards Plateau as a part of the Texas Hill Country. The Colorado and Llano Rivers flow over and through limestone. The Llano Uplift combined with erosional Paleozoic strata form prominent hills. Enchanted Rock is a part of the scenery as gravel roads meander through these sparsely populated old ranch lands. Jenna & Nick asked for 50 miles of gravel riding in the quiet countryside on flat to rolling roads that allowed them to enjoy nature with moments of adventure and impressive vistas. The most perfect day on bikes!
We had the most wonderful day with Deaton & Dennis. We chose the 50-mile gravel ride in Castell. It was absolutely beautiful – the wildflowers were amazing. From pick up in Austin at Mellow Johnny’s to drop off, we experienced a 5-star day. The bikes we rented were great, the food prepared (for special dietary needs) was delicious, the ride and support were excellent. Everything was carefully thought out, planned and executed. We truly had the most wonderful day and it was a perfect way to spend our Saturday in Texas.
